{"id":6161,"date":"2026-01-21T17:22:51","date_gmt":"2026-01-21T17:22:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/lawbulletin\/?p=6161"},"modified":"2026-01-21T17:29:43","modified_gmt":"2026-01-21T17:29:43","slug":"international-law-in-the-age-of-ai-and-cyber-graduate-seminar-in","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/lawbulletin\/2026\/01\/21\/international-law-in-the-age-of-ai-and-cyber-graduate-seminar-in\/","title":{"rendered":"International Law in the Age of AI and Cyber &#8211; Graduate Seminar in October"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Applications are now open for this International Law Graduate Seminar being held in October and co-organized by the University of Exeter with partners from Venice International University (VIU) member universities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Graduate Seminar is led by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>University of Padua, Italy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>KU Leuven, Belgium<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>University of Exeter, UK<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Waseda University, Japan<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>By virtue of Exeter\u2019s full membership in VIU, our PhD students, junior researchers &amp; Masters students who are accepted to take part are entitled to full fee waiver scholarships, free accommodation at San Servolo, and travel grants are available. A maximum number of 6 students per member university\/institution can be admitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Who can apply?<br><\/strong>This Graduate Seminar is offered to Master students, PhD students, and junior researchers with a background in International Law, EU Law, Public and Comparative Law, Criminal Law, Human Rights Law, Cybersecurity Sciences, Political Sciences, and International Relations.<br>Open to candidates from all the VIU Member Institutions; applications from excellent candidates from non-member institutions will be also considered and evaluated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must submit the (1) application form, (2) a letter of motivation \u2013 which should include a short bio and a brief description of the candidate\u2019s research project, (3) a curriculum vitae, and (4) a photo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All other information about the course, including its programme and application procedure can be accessed on the seminar website via the button below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.univiu.org\/study\/graduate-seminars\/international-law-in-the-age-of-ai-and-cyber\">More info<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Event: Monday 26 &#8211; Friday 30 October 2026.
