Applications are now open to join the Exeter team for the 34th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot<\/strong>, taking place in Vienna from 19-25 March 2027<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Vis Moot is one of the largest and most highly regarded international law student competitions in the world, bringing together students, academics, lawyers and arbitration practitioners from across the globe. The competition focuses on international commercial law and arbitration and offers an experience quite unlike any other moot. For more information about the competition, visit: https:\/\/www.vismoot.org\/<\/a> You can also hear about the experiences of last year’s team on the webpage here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Vis Moot offers an exceptional opportunity to:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Vis Moot is an enormously rewarding experience, but it is also one of the most demanding competitions in our mooting programme. Preparation begins well in advance of Vienna and continues throughout the academic year. Team members will be expected to contribute fully to the preparation of the team’s written memorials, undertake detailed legal research, practise oral advocacy regularly and work closely with the other members of the team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There will also be a programme of coaching and preparation sessions. These are essential to ensure that the team is properly prepared for the standard of advocacy expected at the competition. Applicants should therefore consider carefully whether they can make the necessary commitment alongside their studies before applying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All applicants must also ensure that they are available to travel to Vienna and participate in the Moot from 19\u201325 March 2027.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Applications are welcomed from students at all stages of their studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You do not need to have previous experience of mooting or international commercial arbitration.
