This online session is available to students studying law at Penryn and Streatham and is organised by Rachel Gaunt, Employability and Careers Consultant (Law).
The session content will help law students gain more of an understanding of how to make the most of your vacation scheme.
This will include how to target your research, the importance of networking and professionalism in the workplace
The session will include a talk from an Exeter Graduate now working as a Trainee Solicitor at Ashfords LLP, sharing experiences of a vacation scheme and how to make it a success.

About the event
The panel session kicks off the event with practising barristers and judges discussing their journeys to the Bar. There is an opportunity to ask questions after the panel session. To conclude the evening there will be a reception with panel members local to the area. During the evening there will also be scholarships information provided.

3rd Year Placement Experience Talk
Alex Solomides is a 3rd Year Student on the 4 Year Law with Business with Professional Placement Programme. He is currently on Placement with a Law firm specialising in Noise Induced Hearing Loss claims for members of the Military and has kindly agreed to return to Penryn to speak about his experience.
This session will take place in Exchange Red at 13:00 on Wednesday 30 March. Alex is keen to share his insights into life in a Law firm. The session will be particularly helpful for those applying for Placements as well as students on the 3 year programme who will be thinking about their future career options.

The Inn – Student Open Day
The Inn is hosting a Student Open Day on Saturday 26 March for any undergraduate considering a career at the Bar. There will be a limited in-person audience selected via ballot, but the session will be recorded and broadcast online and a film produced for the website at a later date.
