Dear HaSS Cornwall students

Welcome to Week 8 of Term 1 2022-3. Isn’t it amazing how fast time flies? We very much hope that you have settled into your modules for this term and are finding the teaching and learning activities interesting and intellectually stimulating.

Don’t forget that our open and inclusive teaching and learning culture invites you to talk with your module convenors and tutors – whether you find yourself struggling, or if you just want advice on how to make your learning feel productive and your assignments that little bit stronger. Please do take up the opportunities we offer for academic advice and guidance. We love to see our students and to know you feel supported.

In the final few weeks of term, we encourage you to manage your non-directed learning time carefully so that you don’t have a bottleneck of assignments all due at the same time at the end of this term and beginning of next term. Please see this presentation for some handy tips on how to get the balance right between productive time and restorative time.

We hope you enjoy this edition of the newsletter, which keeps you abreast of the key things happening in your discipline this week. As usual, there are lots of exciting things going on across the Department!

Don’t forget to let us know about issues and challenges you face. We can only help you if we know about them. You can contact your HaSS Cornwall Education Team using this email address.
