He has led and collaborated on major programmes of research, always with a focus on translating evidence into practice that makes a real-world difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the summer of 2024, David\u2019s professional expertise and personal experience converged, leading him to focus his work on men\u2019s mental health. He is now building a foundation of ethical and applied research in partnership with national and international collaborators, asking what more can be done to turn the dial on men\u2019s wellbeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the heart of his approach is a commitment to authenticity and collaboration \u2014 producing research that is academically rigorous, lived-experience informed, and oriented toward change. Current interest\u00a0in masculinities and mental health, as well as development of psychometric scales.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\"><strong>George Mycock<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Researcher on the Beyond Stigma project<\/strong><br><em>Research Associate, University of Exeter<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"202\" height=\"283\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/male-kind\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/643\/2025\/09\/George-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-77\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>George is a lived experience researcher interested in men&#8217;s mental health, with particular expertise in men&#8217;s eating, exercise, and body image psychopathology.
