Hi All,
I am having some issues with the line numbering which is not related to the fancy initials or anything. Yesterday I got half way through a page and decided to stop. All was normal. Today when I returned a rogue number 1 had appeared at the top, so I had two number 1s. In the transcription part, putting my cursor against line two resulted in the second of these two number 1 lines being highlighted in the original document. Hence, transcription line 1 = original first line 1, transcription line 2 = original second line 1, transcription line 3 = original line 2 etc. As I was already half-way through I just kept going and have sent Emily an email for when she returns but it would be good to know if anyone else has had this issue. And if so how did you deal with it please!

I'm not sure I can help much here, except to say that I'm experiencing similar issues with Transkribus when returning to a partially transcribed will (largely it no longer showing lines, numbering etc); so you're not alone!

Thanks Jan and Anne-Marie - I'll drop Mark (our technical expert) a line in case he has any advice and will add this to my list of updates for Emily when she gets back.
Is it a page with two regions? If so, one of the number 1s is the region number and the other is the line number within the region. Also, if it is that, then somewhere on the page is a region 2 with at least one line. In the page that I had, the second region appeared to contain a folio number or something like that in the top righthand corner, and when I reached the end of region one, line 1 or region 2 was below it in the transcript.

UPDATE! Mark's pointed out that if you give me details of one of the pages that you are having trouble with (folder name and page number), he will also be able to go in and have a look himself on Transkribus.
Hi I have found problems with the first 10/11 lines in my second will : volunteer_010 Will 02
Some lines of writing are no longer completely underlined, and line 3 is now in two sections meaning the next few numbers no longer correspond . From line 11 it is fine.
Thanks Pauline! I passed that on to Mark and he had a look. He thinks that he probably just missed this page when he was processing things originally. He has now redrawn the lines:
'I’ve fixed the lines now and had to shift a few of the transcribed lines down to match up to the images line. This means there is now a blank line near the top which will need to be transcribed.'
