I had queried marking superscripts with Emily a while ago because it didn’t always seem to work for me. I have now (at least partially) solved the problem: on the toolbar on the righthand side of the screen, there is a button looking like a luggage label. That needs to be pressed to “Enable tags” and then the pop-up appears when text in the transcript is selected. However, Transkribus doesn’t recognise selecting via the keyboard until either mouse button is pressed and released within the selected text. Maybe everyone else has already discovered this, but just in case …
