When ‘God’ appears in the text, there is always a squiggle over it, often shaped like a small cloud. When highlighted, should this be transcribed? And, if so, how?
Thanks for flagging Austen - gosh, that is interesting! I wonder how frequently that appears. In this case, don't attempt to transcribe the squiggle (I think that would be too difficult to capture on MS Word, let alone Transkribus), and just transcribe 'God' as is.
