What are we to do with inserted text, for example where a word has been missed out and inserted later above a caret mark? (Transkribus is not marking the text as a separate line.)
At present, I am transcribing the inserted text where it should have been, leaving out the caret mark, and flagging it as superscript (when I can get that to work). Is that the correct thing to do, please?
Thanks,
Tony
Hi Tony - thanks for your question - yes flagging it as superscript (when the function works!) is the correct thing to do. As you will have noticed, sometimes it recognises 'interlined' text as a separate line, sometimes it doesn't. We're also going to flag the problems with the 'superscript' pop-up window with Transkribus, in the hope that they can fix it!
