During her PhD at the Institute of Molecular Genetics, Moscow, she was focusing on bacterial defence systems, with a particular interest in Argonaute proteins. Currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, Anna&#8217;s research concentrates on understanding the interplay between prokaryotic defence systems within a single cell.
