This will focus on defence systems found within clinical isolates of Pseudomonas Aeruginosa and how they respond to phage infections. Previously, she was based in the <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.manchester.ac.uk\/merman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Brockhurst Lab<\/a> at the University of Manchester working with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/multidefence\/dr-rosanna-wright-university-of-manchester\/\" target=\"_blank\">Dr Rosanna Wright<\/a> on a project comparing resistance evolution between CRISPR and Surface Modification defence systems and how this is affected by the functional and genetic diversity of the phage combinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a id=\"_msocom_1\"><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Anna (she\/her) is a PhD student at the University of Exeter with Prof Stineke Van Houte and is associated with the MultiDefence project.
