Past conferences include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>British Association of Nineteenth-Century Americanists Biennial Symposium (17-18 November 2017)<\/li>\n<li>Whitman Week (30 May &#8211; 4 June 2016)<\/li>\n<li>The British Association for American Studies Annual Conference (18-21 April 2013)<\/li>\n<li>The British Association for American Studies Annual Postgraduate Conference (15 November 2008)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Universities of Exeter and Plymouth were scheduled to host the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.societyofearlyamericanists.org\/conferences\/past\">Society of Early Americanists \u201cSpecial Topics\u201d conference<\/a> in June 2020 but this was unable to take place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Forthcoming conferences TBC Past conferences Several prestigious conferences and symposia have been hosted by the University of Exeter in recent years and we regularly invite distinguished academics from around the world to share their research into North American and Atlantic literature and culture.
