Pegasus<\/em> is the Journal of the Department of Classics, Ancient History, Religion and Theology at the University of Exeter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pegasus <\/em>was established in 1964 as a journal for Classics and Ancient History, and over time alongside departmental shifts, it has come to include the Religion and Theology department. The journal has always been run by a board of PhD Candidates, and Katherine Petrasek<\/a> and Francesca K\u00fcbler<\/a> are our current Editors in Chief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pegasus <\/em>publishes original research and reviews of scholarship on all aspects of the ancient world, including literature, ancient history, philosophy, Classical reception, art and material culture. It also provides a publishing outlet for creative works, including poetry and artwork, as well as publishing updates from the Classics, Ancient History, Religion and Theology Department at Exeter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For a long time, the journal was published on an annual basis, however following the COVID-19 pandemic, we were unfortunately forced to take a hiatus. But it is with the greatest pleasure that we announce Pegasus <\/em>issue 63 will be published in September 2026!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pegasus <\/em>is primarily a print journal, but past editions can always be found here<\/a>. The current edition of Pegasus <\/em>will be made available online when the next issue is released.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For alumni and former staff members, Pegasus<\/em> is a great way of staying in touch with the Department and keeping up with departmental news.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
