Taking his inspiration from <em>We Still Have a Chance: 12 Climate Stories for 12 Days of COP27 Climate Change Conference<\/em>, GARf\u2019s final piece is the first large-scale public artwork created as part of Exeter\u2019s Public Art Strategy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exeter has a strong connection to both the arts and sustainability, with the UK\u2019s top five most influential climate scientists working at the University of Exeter, and the city itself being a UNESCO City of Literature. The new mural, located near Exeter City Library, unites these two vital aspects of Exeter living, and has already attracted enormous support and media attention, including from <a href=\"https:\/\/hellorayo.co.uk\/greatest-hits\/devon\/news\/huge-climate-change-mural-unveiled-in-exeter-and-already-provoking-conversations\/\">Greatest Hits Radio Devon<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"697\" src=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/per\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/327\/2025\/01\/Slide2-1024x697.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-369\" style=\"width:423px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/per\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/327\/2025\/01\/Slide2-1024x697.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/per\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/327\/2025\/01\/Slide2-300x204.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/per\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/327\/2025\/01\/Slide2-768x523.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/per\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/327\/2025\/01\/Slide2.jpg 1058w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Photographer &#8211; Ben Knight<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>In an <a href=\"https:\/\/greenfutures.exeter.ac.uk\/article\/we-still-have-a-chance-the-exeter-mural\/\">article<\/a> by the University&#8217;s GreenFutures team, Stuart Crewes, Creative Director of Art Work Exeter described reactions to the mural as \u201cpositive, with people saying that it brightens up an overlooked corner in the heart of the city. The representation of city landmarks of the present shows a place that is future-facing, positive and dare I say, hopeful.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The launch itself took place at Exeter Library on the 28<sup>th <\/sup>of September and gave residents the opportunity to hear from the team behind the mural, as well as offering a range of interactive activities.
