He\u2019s the author of four books including Philosophy for Life and Other Dangerous Situations, and The Art of Losing Control.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p>Colloquium Presentation: 27 October 2023, 3.30\u20135.pm (speaking online)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Evolutionary spirituality as a frame for psychedelic experiences&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the dominant cultural frames for psychedelics in western culture over last 130\u2009years has been evolutionary spirituality. This tradition suggests human evolution is not finished and can be guided towards the creation of higher beings through such techniques as psychedelics and eugenics or genetic modification. But is everyone evolving into a new species, or just an elite?
