The final series of the Cornwall Group participants are hosted at Krowji, a large creative hub based in Redruth, a town which was the centre for commerce for the Cornish mining industry.  The word ‘Krowji’ means workshop or shed in Cornish.

Formerly a grammar school Krowji was founded in 2005 and has grown to accommodate  hundreds of emerging and established creative businesses and practitioners with  workspaces. Home to Creative Kernow an Arts Council and Cornwall Council funded national portfolio organisation, Krowji continues to develop opening the new Percy Williams eco building to house even more creative businesses in June 2015.

We are delighted that we are able to host the S4S participant workshops at Krowji, enjoying the warmth and eclectic ambience of the in-house ‘Melting Pot Café’ which is also open to the public. Krowji is part of the annually held  Open Studios event where members of the public can view and buy works by the resident artists and makers.
