{"id":1124,"date":"2019-06-13T11:50:03","date_gmt":"2019-06-13T10:50:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/scule-centre.onyx-sites.io\/?page_id=1124"},"modified":"2019-06-13T11:50:03","modified_gmt":"2019-06-13T10:50:03","slug":"timon-hughes-davies","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/scule\/people\/timon-hughes-davies\/","title":{"rendered":"Timon Hughes-Davies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>T<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1126\" src=\"https:\/\/scule-centre.onyx-sites.io\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Timon-Hughes-Davies-200x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"193\" height=\"290\" \/>imon Hughes-Davies studied chemistry as an undergraduate at Oxford University, \u00a0and completed his D.Phil. on X-ray reflectometry of liquid surfaces at the same university. \u00a0He then worked in industry and in the voluntary sector.<\/p>\n<p>In 2007, Timon returned to university, taking a GDL at Bournemouth University. \u00a0In 2010, Timon was a lecturer at Bournemouth University and in 2011 was appointed as a Lecturer (E&amp;S) at the University of Exeter. \u00a0He is now a senior lecturer and director of education for the Law School.<\/p>\n<h4>Research Interests<\/h4>\n<p>Timon has published on trusts and on genetic confidentiality. \u00a0He is interested in mental health law, and the use of force in the detention and treatment of patients under the Mental Health Act 1983.<\/p>\n<p>Timon has recently written, with Nathan Tamblyn, a textbook on tort, which will be published in 2019.<\/p>\n<h4>Select Outputs<\/h4>\n<p><strong>T.
