Dr Naomi Hawkins warned that the current laws may quickly become inadequate for the prospering sector. Moreover, in terms of intellectual property and copyright laws that apply in outer space, the right balance between the protection of the public interest and encouraging innovation is needed to support businesses.<\/p>\n<p>The team behind the policy brief included <a href=\"https:\/\/scule-centre.onyx-sites.io\/people\/naomi-hawkins\/\">Dr Naomi Hawkins<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/scule-centre.onyx-sites.io\/people\/mathilde-pavis\/\">Dr Mathilde Pavis<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/socialsciences.exeter.ac.uk\/law\/staff\/macak\/\">Dr Kubo Macak<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/scule-centre.onyx-sites.io\/people\/hitoshi-nasu\/\">Professor Hitoshi Nasu<\/a>.
