During our Reflexive Workshop <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/securitisationjourneys\/2024\/02\/21\/desecuritisation-in-the-classroom\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/securitisationjourneys\/2024\/02\/21\/desecuritisation-in-the-classroom\/\">&#8216;(De)securitising the Classroom&#8217;,<\/a> third-year Politics and IR students created a series of collages conveying their learning experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paraguayan visual artist and arts educator, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ludmila-centuri%C3%B3n-281359237\/?originalSubdomain=uk\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/ludmila-centuri%C3%B3n-281359237\/?originalSubdomain=uk\">Ludmila Centuri\u00f3n Segovia<\/a>, led the workshop and introduced the different types of collages: analogue, digital, and mixed-media. We opted for an analogue collage to have a material and sensorial experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>Cutting, pasting, and re-imagining, we crafted together different renderings of our lived experiences as learners.<\/p>\n<cite>Gabriela Garc\u00eda Garc\u00eda<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Lumi shared with us examples of collage-making from Latin American artists who use this medium as a way to express experiences of inequalities, resistance, and raising awareness. We explored the works of <a href=\"https:\/\/elnacional.com.py\/lifestyle\/2022\/05\/07\/betania-ruttia-sin-existencia-no-hay-creacion\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/elnacional.com.py\/lifestyle\/2022\/05\/07\/betania-ruttia-sin-existencia-no-hay-creacion\/\">Betania Ruttia<\/a> (Paraguay), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitalbrazilproject.com\/moara-tupinamb%C3%A1\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.digitalbrazilproject.com\/moara-tupinamb%C3%A1\">Moara Tupinamb\u00e1 <\/a>(Brazil), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/plantitas.de.romero\/?hl=es\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/plantitas.de.romero\/?hl=es\">Ariana S\u00e1nchez Romero <\/a>(Ecuador) to get some inspiration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The task for the students was to convey a memory, emotion, concept, or case study learnt through our module POL3300 Securitisation of Migration.
