We\u2019re pleased to announce that the SHARE project has appointed our main archaeology contractor, Cotswold Archaeology. They will be leading the community excavations, including volunteer training, and overseeing the analysis and writing up of everything we find, in the \u2018post-excavation\u2019 stage of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cotswold Archaeology<\/a> are one of the largest archaeological contractors in Britain and also an education charity, with lots of experience in running community and voluntary archaeology projects. For example, at Brandiers Farm<\/a>, Minety, Wiltshire, they led three seasons (2022\u20132024) of community research excavation at a Roman tile kiln site, during which over 100 people volunteered and was nominated for Current Archaeology\u2019s \u2018Research Project of the Year\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
