The Research Study<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SmartADHD programme will work in three stages to develop and test digital tools to support young people with ADHD.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Phase 1: Co-designing solutions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have brought together information from existing research and worked closely with young people with ADHD, families, and healthcare professionals to understand what support is needed. Together, we’ve been designing early versions of our digital tools which are now in development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Phase 2: Testing and improving<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will ask people to try out early versions of the app and tell us what works well and what could be improved. We will use interviews, questionnaires, and other feedback methods to understand how easy the app is to use and whether they meet people’s needs. This feedback will help us refine and improve the app before we test it.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Phase 3: Testing in NHS settings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once we’ve optimised the app, we will test it in a real NHS setting. We will explore how useful, acceptable, and practical it is for young people and healthcare professionals. We will also look at whether it has the potential to improve outcomes and whether it could offer value for money. Interviews with young people and clinicians will help us understand their experiences and whether the app could be used or evaluated more widely in the future.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ensuring accessibility and real-world impact<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A dedicated equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) workstream will help ensure our interventions are accessible and inclusive for people from a wide range of background, including groups who may face barriers to accessing digital support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alongside this, an implementation workstream will focus on how our interventions could be integrated into healthcare services in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resources<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the SmartADHD programme develops, we will share updates, research findings, and publications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
