29 June 2022We were very pleased to meet members of the SPaCE Project working group of parent carers for our first meeting! We discussed how we should define SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) for this project, particularly when designing our prevalence work packages. We also discussed the mental health problems that are more likely to affect parent carers, parent carers’ experiences accessing mental health services, including the professionals that they have talked to, and any support that they have received. This meeting will help us to plan and set up two major parts of this research. We are looking forward to meeting again after the summer holidays to continue the discussion!
