SPACE-Gov is an inter-sectoral engagement project aimed at developing an expert network on space governance to mitigate risk, anticipate changes, and facilitate the long-term sustainable
growth of the space sector amidst mounting institutional and political uncertainty.
The project seeks to facilitate a dialogue between university, governments, and international organizations to brainstorm innovative approaches in tackling some of the most challenging issues linked with the growth of the space sector. SPACE-
Gov presents a valuable opportunity for stakeholders from diverse sectors to share their main concerns, and jointly explore potential mitigation measures that could reduce and manage future
risks in the space sector.
The project seeks to identify and synthesize risk mitigation proposals in response to the following areas of challenges, including but not limited to :
\u2022 At the international level: Challenges associated with common pool of resources (\/resources sharing) problems, mitigating risks posed by competitions for orbits\/orbital slots, interference of radio frequency.
\u2022 At the national level: Identify and analyze measures that could help mitigate severe disruptions to the space sector posed by geopolitical tensions.
\u2022 At the university level : Strengthen opportunities for intersectoral\/international collaboration in developing space knowledge and skills in the UK and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
