Our clubs offer weekly or yearly competitive competitions to test and further develop your skills. We have&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/sport.exeter.ac.uk\/studentsport\/clubs\/\" target=\"_blank\">52 Sports Clubs<\/a>&nbsp;that offer everything from social and beginner sport to supporting elite athletes in international pathways through our performance sport programme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re not keen to join a sports club, or commit to playing in our Social Sport Leagues, then Pitch Up and Play could be just for you. The Student Sport team run a timetable throughout the year full of activities where you just turn up. It&#8217;s free (or heavily discounted), weekly and has no commitment requirements. You just turn up when you want!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is something for everyone within Sport here at Exeter. Whether you&#8217;re a member of the community looking to join a weekly Yoga class, or a student wanting to get in that hour of physical activity each week. We also run a variety of inclusive courses to get you into activity in an environment away from a busy gym.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sport Strategy <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Over the next 4 years our commitments are:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-3 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h4 class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-heading\">Physical Activity and Wellbeing<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><em>Ensure physical activity is part of everyday life on all campuses at the University and accessible to all within the community; engaging in local and national initiatives to create the most vibrant and active campus\/workplace. Establishing targets to measure our inclusive practises.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Provide an exceptional student experience.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>In Cornwall, create differentiation of our sporting offer to develop a unique offering and facility base for our students<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-heading\">Competitive Sport<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Possess facilities that are compliant with national standards to sustain competitive sport and increase physical activity across all campuses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build the brand in Exeter through \u2018BLEED GREEN\u2019 for our competitive sports programmes and \u2018I AM SPORT\u2019 to create a sense of community and that sport is for every member of our community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build our pathway for students in Cornwall, who aspire to compete at the highest level and support athletes through our High-Performance department in Exeter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure the University of Exeter remains a top 5 UK University for sport continuing our reputation of excellence in sport.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Performance athletes are able to access a National Governing Body (NGB), franchise or professional club performance pathway that provides a national level competitive outlet, in addition to BUCS.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hold a Top 3 ranking across all performance programmes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h4 class=\"has-regular-font-size wp-block-heading\">Partnerships<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li><em>Drive forward the University\u2019s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) vision by challenging cultures and practises, offering a welcoming, respectful environment with a diverse range of engaging activities, accessible to all students and staff.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Play a key role in supporting the wellbeing of our student and staff population working in partnership with Wellbeing services<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Develop our work with colleagues in the department of Sport and Health Sciences to deliver an eco-system of research, academic teaching and applied skills across both departments, providing opportunities for our students to maximise their experiences and use our professional staff knowledge and experiences to full benefit.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Develop meaningful partnerships with key local agencies and governing bodies.
