Our technical staff: Dr Hong Chang, Dr Christian Hacker and Dr Joe Pickles, have recently presented at the 1st South –West Electron Microscopy Conference held in Plymouth University on 18th –19th March 2019. The conference was attended by academic and technical staff from the universities of Swansea, Cardiff, Bristol, Bath, Plymouth and Exeter. The UoE staff presented to advertise our facilities at the Imaging Suite of CEMPS, Bioimaging Centre of Biosciences of CLES, and Chemical, imaging and mineralogical facility (CIMF) of Camborne School of Mines, respectively. The conference provided a good opportunity to showcase our technical expertise and network with colleagues in the field of Electron Microscopy in the South West. Our colleagues: Mrs Ana Correia da Silva from Bioimaging Centre of Biosciences of CLES, and Dr Mathew McLaren from Living System Institute, also attended the conference.
