{"id":315,"date":"2019-05-01T10:00:40","date_gmt":"2019-05-01T09:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.exeter.ac.uk\/technicalservices\/?p=315"},"modified":"2019-05-01T10:00:40","modified_gmt":"2019-05-01T09:00:40","slug":"defra-inspections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.exeter.ac.uk\/technicalservices\/2019\/05\/01\/defra-inspections\/","title":{"rendered":"DEFRA Inspections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Biosciences (Streatham) had its annual DEFRA\/APHA inspection on 21st February and passed with flying colours.<br \/>\nThe 3 licences we hold allow us to work with specified plant pathogens within the department, and are held by academics with myself, Sam Mitchell, as lead DEFRA contact for each licence.<br \/>\nThis years inspection was more in-depth as we added new locations, including the Living Systems Institute and the Mezzanine floor of the Geoffrey Pope Building, new organisms and new Academic leads to the existing licences.
