Amacayacu pantano is a small peatland near the Amazon river, located within the Parque Nacional Natural Amacayacu in the Amazonas Department in Colombia. The site is dominated by small trees of approximately 5 m height and has a peat layer of 1 m.
The monitoring efforts at the site are led by Professor Juan Carlos Benavides and his team at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
