The VSimulators team is pleased to support University of Exeter PhD student Ruth in her project using a passive exoskeleton to assist in ankle muscle testing.

The aim of the project is to aid balance control and help prevent falls in individuals with conditions that may lead to balance impairments, such as Parkinson’s Disease.

Biomechanics experts from the University’s Public Health and Sport Sciences department were on hand to help out, including Dr Dominic Farris, Dr Garry Massey, and Dr Genevieve Williams, who even agreed to be the first participant! They were also supported by Senior Experimental Officer James Bassitt.
