The VSimulators team were pleased to host a visit with Caroline Rassell, CEO of Parkinson’s UK. Caroline met with Dr Will Young and other researchers from Public Health and Sport Sciences at the University of Exeter, a member of the Patient Participant Involvement Group and a group of young adults supporting Parkinson’s research as healthy controls.
They discussed how to work with people with Parkinson’s and their families to develop new ways of managing anxiety and movement difficulties.
Caroline also experienced a train simulation designed to help people with Parkinson’s navigate gait freezing events on public transport, through the facility’s motion platform and headset virtual reality.
