The VSimulators research team is excited to announce the appointment of Ben Boswell as their new Business Development Manager. Ben will focus on commercialising the VSimulators and Dynamometer, both based at the University’s Engineering Research Centre at Exeter Science Park.
Ben’s career began in the British Army, where he served in the Royal Artillery and specialised in Unmanned Air Systems coordination. As a Captain, he led a troop of 45, managing global operations, including a tour in Afghanistan. After transitioning to the private sector, Ben held leadership roles in operational and business development within a national charity and private education. Most recently, he helped drive community impact and commercial success for a Community Interest Company supporting individuals with neurological diseases.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys sports, having represented England Rugby at the youth level, and spends his free time sailing, surfing, and swimming. He also recently completed building a carbon-negative self-build home.
