Healthy control participants and people with diabetes have been walking on treadmills and undergoing foot tests to study the material properties of plantar tissue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Testing is underway at VSimulators, using equipment such as sensors and an ultrasound scanner. <br><br>The testing in Exeter is supported by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.exeterbrc.nihr.ac.uk\/\">NIHR Exeter Biomedical Research Centre <\/a>(BRC) and builds upon the collaborative <a href=\"https:\/\/gtr.ukri.org\/projects?ref=EP%2FW00366X%2F1\">EPSRC-funded Happier Feet project <\/a>between Manchester and Exeter.
