2024 Lab Retreat

We had a fun and productive time at year’s lab retreat at the Budock Vean hotel with the van Houte lab ! Despite the rainy weather and golfers getting soaked outside the window, we were snug and warm inside catching up with our lab members’ work with a relaxing two days of presentations fueled by plenty of tea. Our cosy two days were topped off by an impressive (and challenging) quiz organised by our own Anna Olina and Aleksei Agapov, including exciting rounds such as “what element of this famous painting is covered up by a cat”, “name the disease based on old-timey illustrations”, and “match the stylized illlustration to the abstract it depicts”. It may not have been a high-scoring quiz, but it was sure a blast.
