Marion Saunier
Post-doctoral Researcher
My background is in molecular biology and bacteriology. During my PhD at the University of Paris-Saclay and the University of Sherbrooke, I studied the function and regulation of a prophage-encoded abortive infection (Abi) system in the anaerobic pathogen Clostridioides difficile. My postdoctoral project aims to characterize novel counter-defence systems in bacteriophages infecting Pseudomonas aeruginosa and to elucidate how these systems are regulated during infection.
