Welcome everyone to the new year, we hope it has started well for you. The blogs between now and September are aimed at our prospective students for 2022-23, with lots of useful information about accommodation, whether youā€™ve already confirmed your offer with Exeter or are still making decisions.

Finding somewhere to live can be one of the most exciting parts of moving to University, but there are decisions to make and process to go through ā€“ and weā€™re here to help with that.

The Accommodation Guarantee

Applications for accommodation in the 2022/23 academic year open onĀ Monday 4th April 2021.Ā We try to offer as many students as possible a place in accommodation, but due to the amount of bed spaces we have available, this isnā€™t always possible. However, if you meet our guarantee criteria you will be offered accommodation with us.

>>Find out everything you need to know about our guarantee criteria and dates.

How are rooms allocated?

We allocate all those applications who meet the guarantee criteria randomly, but we do check your accommodation preferences from your application to try to get the right fit for you.

What do I do if I donā€™t qualify for University accommodation?

Exeter has a large range of accommodation available for students, including purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA), rooms to rent through private landlords and other housing options.

We manage the Exeter accommodation search portal Studentpad, where you can find a variety of properties available for rent plus a message board where you can chat with other students, which can be a helpful way to find flatmates.
