Good morning and welcome to all of you who have now made it to Exeter! Last time we blogged you were still a prospective student but now you are a fully fledged current student. While the days of applying for accommodation might seem a dim and distant memory, don’t forget that the accommodation website has plenty of useful resources while you are in residence with us. Just check out the Current Students webpage.
We’ve noticed a number of enquiries coming in about when your accommodation fees are due and how to pay, so this is the focus of today’s blog.
Payment dates
Your accommodation fees will be due in termly instalments. These will not be split equally across the three terms, but you can see the number of weeks for each instalment on our How to Pay webpage.
The payment deadline dates for this academic year are as follows:

We don’t send out a separate invoice detailing your accommodation charges, but you can check the amount due by logging in to your Accommodation Account and reviewing your contract.
You are also able to pay your fees in one instalment by the first due date, however we do not offer any discounts for doing so.

Problems with Payments
If you have any financial queries or issues with paying your accommodation fees then please log an enquiry with the Finance Team via SID Online, or contact the SID Team on 0300 555 0444 (UK) or+441392 724724 (International).
Please do not worry, our Finance Team are able to come up with alternative arrangements if needed, such as monthly payments to help with budgeting. Additionally, you may wish to look into our success for all fund which was created to help those who have been experiencing financial hardship or unexpected expenses.
Accommodation drop-in sessions
If you have an accommodation-related query please do feel free to come and see us. You don’t need to pre-book an appointment; just head to the SID desk in the Forum on Streatham campus and ask to be added to the Accommodation Drop-In. Then take a seat in the waiting area (by the Careers Zone and Study Zone) and we’ll call you in as soon as we can.
We are available Monday to Friday throughout term one from 10:00am until 3:00pm.
If we’re not the right people to be able to deal with your query we may need to signpost you to another support service. And if you have any maintenance issues or concerns about your room then your first port of call is to speak with your Residence Reception.
