Good morning everyone, today’s blog is focusing on accommodation applications for prospective students that don’t currently meet the accommodation guarantee. This will be those of you who will be applying for accommodation post-results day.
Our Guarantee:
We welcome applications from all students and guarantee to make you an offer of accommodation if you apply by 31 July 2020 and are:
- An undergraduate unaccompanied home, EU or international student who has firmly accepted an offer of a place at the University of Exeter entering their first year of study (i.e. Year 1).
- An unaccompanied international postgraduate from outside of the EU, in your first year of study, for the full academic year starting in September. Note: You are defined as an international student if you pay international fees.
- An unaccompanied incoming study abroad or Erasmus student at studying at the University of Exeter for the full academic year starting in September.
Applying after the deadline
Perhaps Exeter is your insurance offer, or if you don’t get the grades you expected, it’s disappointing but it isn’t the end of the world! Whether you’re coming through clearing or insurance, We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to the University of Exeter. Once you’ve firmly accepted your place with us we encourage you to apply for your accommodation as soon as possible. When allocating accommodation to those who apply after the 31 July guarantee deadline, we will process these applications in the order that we receive them and we will offer a place in University owned/managed/approved accommodation if rooms are still available.
Private Accommodation
If we aren’t able to offer you accommodation, Exeter is a lovely, small city and living off campus has the benefit of being close to the city centre and it is still within walking distance to both Streatham and St Luke’s campuses. To get an insight into what living off campus may be like take a look at this accommodation video featuring students living off campus. We recommend that you look at our private housing options which include purpose-built accommodation, very similar to what’s available on campus.
Whatever happens, we will do all that we can to help you find somewhere to live.
