David Melzer, MBBCh, PhD.
Emeritus Professor of Epidemiology and Public Health.
David led the “Epidemiology and Public Health group” at the University of Exeter Medical School from its formation in 2005 (then in the Peninsula Medical School) until his retirement in April 2024.
Dr Francesco Casanova (2022 to 2025) used genetics to study role of serum and brain iron on dementia risk.
Dr Mitch Lucas completed his PhD in genetic haemochromatosis in 2026.
