AUXETICON 2025
First International Conference on Auxetics in Construction – 24 to 26 June 2025
The aim of the conference is to provide a platform for the community of researchers and practitioners interested in sharing novel ideas on the use of materials and structures with auxetic properties in the construction sector. Submissions are welcome (but not limited) to the following themes:
Novel use of auxetic materials and geometries in structures
Novel use of auxetic materials in construction methods and technologies
Sustainability of auxetic materials in construction
Novel use of materials with auxetic-related properties
Architectural and aesthetics design with auxetic composite materials

Authors will be contacted by the Scientific and organising committee on the format and the procedure for the submission of the conference communication.

The communications presented to the conference will be collected in a proceeding document available in soft copy for attendees and downloadable from the conference website.
A special issue of an international, peer reviewed and indexed Journal for the submission and possible publication of full papers developed from the extended abstracts is under negotiation.
Fees cover the participation to the conference, the access to the proceedings, the gala dinner, refreshements and meals during the conference activities, and a private visit to the Exeter Cathedral roof space and towers.
Accommodation and travels need to be booked by conference participants.
A limited number of on-campus rooms with bed and breakfast boarding option are available and can be booked from the conference registration webpages.
