Tim Sanders

Patient and Public Involvement Lead

Tim is a saxophone-player, arranger and composer, playing gigs and studio sessions, and accompanying dance projects including the Royal Ballet School’s Primary Steps programme.

He is a founder member of famed session team the Kick Horns (www.kickhorns.com), who since the 1980s have played and arranged for the likes of Eric Clapton, the Who, Beyonce, Baaba Maal and Blur. They’ve recently worked with acts as diverse as the Afro Celt Sound System, Mae Muller and Sam Smith, and continue to feature on hits, often recorded at Tim’s South London studio the Tall Place.

Tim has had type 1 diabetes since 1969, when you had to boil your syringes and needles to sterilise them.
