The Farming Futures Cycle Tour is the main data collection phase of my PhD project, which explores visions for the future of farming and food production in England. Between mid-April and early-July, I’ll be cycling across England to meet with women living and working on farms. By cycling a cross-section of the country, I hope to speak with women across different geographic and farming contexts, allowing me to “collect” a range of visions for the future of farming.
My route will take me through the South West, the South East, London, the East of England, the East Midlands, Yorkshire and the Humber, and the North West.
You can view my provisional route here.
If you are a woman living, working, or volunteering on a farm, and are located along my route, I would love to interview you! This website should provide all the information you need to know to decide if you want to participate.
This website is predominantly intended for potential participants. For those of you keen to stay updated on my research adventure, please check out my blog and social media (including Instagram and Facebook), where I’ll be sharing regular updates.
