Welcome to Global Classroom for Health Professions Education (GCHPE), an all-inclusive platform dedicated to empowering health professions educators through collaboration and cutting-edge learning. Education has experienced significant transformation in today’s rapidly changing world, influenced by technological advancements, global connectivity, and evolving societal needs. To equip individuals for this dynamic environment, the GCHPE Network has been created to provide health professions educators with access to resources where they can connect, collaborate, and learn from peers around the globe.
Vision:
The vision for global classrooms in HPE is to enable educators to create an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and technologically integrated learning environment that fosters global citizenship and promotes collaborative learning among HPE learners across geographical boundaries. To achieve this vision, educators are encouraged to implement various strategies, such as using virtual classrooms and interactive tools for engaging learning experiences, forming international student teams for projects addressing global health issues, and providing multilingual resources and support for non-native English speakers. By adopting this comprehensive approach, global classrooms in HPE can create a rich, inclusive, and globally-minded educational experience that prepares learners to become active and informed citizens in an increasingly interconnected world.
Objectives:
Our primary objective is to support HPE educators, trainees and students in institutions across the Global North and South to collaborate through virtual exchange sessions to enhance students` learning of diverse healthcare topics and issues to enhance their understanding of global healthcare provision and skills for addressing the global health needs.
