Global Classroom for Health Professions Education Network

About us

Who we are?

We are a group of founding members in 5 institutions across 4 countries. We have also recruited 2 student interns from the University of Exeter to help with setting up the group and in the creation of the website.

What do we want to achieve?

The initiative to implement global classrooms in Health and Physical Education (HPE) aims to prepare students for a globalized world by fostering intercultural competence and global citizenship. It leverages technology to facilitate communication and collaboration across geographical boundaries, promoting cultural sensitivity and awareness. The program emphasizes collaborative, project-based learning to address real-world health issues, continuous professional development for educators, and inclusive practices to ensure equitable participation. By integrating principles of global citizenship education and focusing on continuous improvement, the initiative seeks to create a rich, inclusive, and globally-minded educational experience that prepares students to navigate an interconnected world effectively.
