Models of Care for people living with Multiple Long-Term Conditions

Models of Care for people living with Multiple Long-Term Conditions

Research priority setting

Patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE)

We especially wish to bring co-design methods to research priority setting, to promote interdisciplinary dialogue to inform practice and policy, using inclusive methodologies to ensure that under-represented groups can participate.

A PPI member conveys their experiences within their existing model of care

A dedicated PPI plan

We are working in partnership with the cross-NIHR-collaboration PPIE Lead (Christine Smith).

The Models of Care workstream has a dedicated PPIE plan which takes full account of equality, diversity and inclusivity.

Members are considered equal to the research team and are/will be involved in all aspects of the project and future grant applications.

We have deliberately sought PPIE representation from those groups in which MLTC are more prevalent.

Our PPIE is shaped by the UK National Standards for Public Involvement and captured in Impact Logs.
