We started work on the MultiDefence project during the kick-off meeting held from 2-3 February 2023 at the Penryn Campus, University of Exeter, in Cornwall. It was lovely to have 16 excited colleagues around the table, with a few more joining us virtually. The meeting provided a fertile and focused environment to cement the initial work done and enable constructive conversations to ensure the success of the project. It also provided the various PIs and ECRs an opportunity to engage in formal and informal settings, creating a great sense of teamwork and collaboration. During the meeting, it was proposed that we aim to meet virtually once a month to discuss the project progression, shifting between the scientific objectives and the added value. We look forward to working together and hope to share some exciting outputs soon!
