Taoran (she/her) is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Brockhurst Lab at the University of Manchester and is funded by the MultiDefence project.
She completed an evolution biology PhD at the University of Manchester, where she studied the adaptation of P. aeruginosa in chronic lung infection mainly using evolution experiments and genomics, particularly focusing on the evolution of oxidative stress resistance and loss of quorum sensing. Her current research focuses on identifying when multi-layered defences are favoured over stand-alone defences.
