Rama (she/her) is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Van Houte Lab at the University of Exeter and is associated with the MultiDefence project.
Rama has a background in evolutionary microbiology. During her PhD at the University of Liverpool, she studied factors that could pose barriers to horizontal gene transfer in Salmonella. Her current research focuses on understanding the importance of bacterial immune systems in shaping resistance / sensitivity patterns to phage infection in P. aeruginosa clinical isolates.
