Multi-layered bacterial genome defences

Prof Kate Baker, University of Cambridge

Kate (she/her) is Assistant Professor of Prokaryotic Genetics at the University of Cambridge.

Kate is a veterinary trained infectious disease researcher who runs an Applied Microbial Genomics group at the University of Cambridge. Her research integrates pathogen genomics with traditional epidemiology, disease ecology, and traditional microbiology to study disease phenomena in (mostly) bacterial pathogens. Her group has a particular focus on the dynamics of the accessory genome, including antimicrobial resistance. You can connect with her @ksbakes or via LinkedIn.
