Principle investigator: Dr Yuxi Heluo
Dr Yuxi Heluo is an Assistant Professor at the University of Exeter Business School, interested in digital inclusion, intergenerational learning, and student wellbeing. She leads the Tech-and-Life Pal project, which encourages older adults to share their life wisdom and experience while students help them learn to use digital tools like phones, tablets, and laptops.
Dr Heluo highlights the importance of these connections, noting that “communication between the generations is crucial for a sustainable and healthy society.”
Research assistant: Dr Charles Robson
Dr. Charles Robson is a Research Assistant at the University of Exeter Business School, with interests in intergenerational learning and student wellbeing. He supports the Tech-and-Life Pal project by helping to design the learning materials and moderating participant sessions.
Dr. Robson highlights the value of the initiative, noting: “Older and younger people have their own individual challenges, and the project allows each side to help the other.”
