A research project focused on supporting healthy ageing through more personalised approaches to exercise is underway at VSimulators.
As part of a research fellowship supported by the Exeter Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR), the project, led by Dr Pavlos Evangelidis, is exploring how a combination of movement, physiological and psychological measures can help us better understand individual responses to everyday activities and exercise. The aim is to develop more sustainable and engaging exercise programmes that promote health, mobility and independence in later life.
Using machine learning, the project is working towards tailoring exercise recommendations to the individual, helping to optimise both effectiveness and adherence.
The research brings together biomechanics, human movement, psychology and technology to address real-world challenges in healthy ageing.
