My research group aims to control light-matter interactions in photonic nanostructures in order to build functional devices. We are particularly interested in combining tunable optical metamaterials and computational methods to build unconventional imaging and sensing applications across the visible to mid-infrared, Our specialisms include nanofabrication (e-beam lithography, grayscale, PVD etc.), optical modelling (FDTD, TMM, etc.), device characterisation (AFM, SEM etc.) and electro-optical systems (free-space). Research challenges lying at the interface between disciplines are of particular interest!
